I converted the video to MPEG-4 AVC x264, and put it in an avi container. I used Fedora 13 x86_64 Avidemux Video Editor with the Qt gui. Encoding is: Video: x264 MPEG-4 AVC Audio: AC3 (eg Dolby Digital Stereo) Frame Rate: 29.97 frames per second The compressed output reduced file size considerably without much downgrading in quality.
