This client is not technologically savvy nor interested in learning to
be. He has Outlook on his desktop and Blackberry. How the mail gets to
both devices is PFM and he's perfectly happy with that.

I'm inclined to go with Google Apps, the business edition, for him, as
they support the Blackberry, have sync tools to keep Outlook, Google
and Blackberry in sync, support IMAP4 and do a pretty good job of
filtering.
