So very, very true. This one for example:

"“Good buddy syndrome” (GBS for short) is when a customer has a close
friend or relative they trust and take advice from who you will never
get to meet to refute. "

We deal mostly with smaller enterprises and a lot of the time we come up
against what I call MD's Cousin Effect, where the managing director
doesn't want to spend the money to do IT properly and gets his cousin,
who has managed to knock together a Windows network at home, to install
a corporate network.
