Sorry I muddled up a couple of things: I'm all set. We do remote
access from our office to all of our clients just fine.

This one client now wants to work from the road, from his laptop or
home and wants remote access. I suspect that once the boss has access,
several of the others will want it, too. Our solution is rather
primitive (ssh, VNC and WinSCP3 and YES, ALL OPEN SOURCE!!!) and I'm
looking around for other solutions: UltraVNC has a couple of promising
ideas, like:

1. using a repeater or an intermediary on the internet through which
both client and server link, but the UltraVNC pages are a couple years
old and I suspect that hasn't moved forward.

2. I could hand-code VNC/PuTTY configurations for each machine and
write up instructions for them to access it.

3. Setting up an OpenVNC as Paul McNett suggests, and giving the users
access that way.

4. Look at commercial solutions like LogMeIn or Fog Creek's CoPilot.

So, I'm looking for suggestions for what a "user" would use to get
remote access to his/her desktop.
