The price of PLA is currently 40% above virgin PET, even higher against rPET. Either the price of plastics has to rise or they have to get the best economies of scale with the maize... hence GM.....

Hi Adam, Well, yes. The lab rats go sterile and die if they have to eat GM, and choose organic if they can get it. The most troublesome problem though is that GM is an invasive species that crowds out the natural stuff.
