That's the thread I remember.
Here's what I found:
Box.net 5gb free max file size 25mb - this would work
Dropbox 2 gb free - this would work too
Rsync.net $.80 per gb per month - very affordable
You never get a second chance to make a first impression, but box.net
seems to be the best fit for an end user.
