All the frameworks we use implement business objects for each table/cursor involved in the form. It is part of a larger n-tier architecture, which separates the user interface from the business logic, from the data access logic. I highly recommend the architecture. As for moving all the existing forms to this approach, well that depends on the amount of risk, the amount of work, the return on investment for the time (is this a long term solution vs. something going away in the next year or two), and a host of other things to consider.
