USB 2.0 is fine for almost all needs, but for double the price, which 
probably includes the USB 3.0 PCIe card bounded with the USB 3.0 drive, 
the 2x price is claimed to deliver a 10x increase in read/write speeds, 
but as I've heard it said many time, mileage may vary depending on any 
number of factors.  LOL
