Well, so I exaggerate a bit. I've *never* exaggerated before, and I'll
*never* do it again. <g>

The old case is a Ultra Aluminus Mid Tower ATX, so I guess that
answers that question.

This thing has lots of ventilation, even a tunnel in the side of the
case that leads directly to the processor. There is an extra fan mount
on the back of the case that wasn't used. Ventilation is a problem for
me, as my computer is under the desk. In the summer, I actually put a
desk fan at my feet. Getting rid of a couple of computers in favor of
the "one box solution."

I don't have any kit in mind. I haven't shopped yet, and I know really
nothing about hardware stuff. Anybody want to make a recommendation
about processor levels?

I'm no gamer, I just do development, and a bit of Photoshop and video
editing. I intend to run Ubuntu, and Windows 7 as a VM. Business
hasn't been too great, so I need to strike a reasonable balance
between getting a machine that will serve me well for a few years, and
saving a few bucks.
