        True, that does happen sometimes. If it's minor, I can usually work 
around it. If it's major, it's nice to know that I can get rid of one component 
and replace it with a better one, since I'm probably not the only one who's had 
that problem. If it's really important, I can dig into the code and fix it 
myself (or pay someone to fix it if I'm not a coder). That's what enabled me to 
create ProFoxTech: I edited the source files for Mailman to tweak the behavior 
the way I needed it to work.

        Having worked in monolithic development environments, I can understand 
the appeal, but I can also understand the limitations, and I really don't like 
limitations.
