As a note to all developers, Microsoft has several programs that provides software for free or minimal cost. The sites are www.dreamspark.com www.microsoft.com/web/websitespark/ www.bizspark.com JourneyEd is probably the best legit option out there for office if the education requirement can be satisfied.
