I'd just like to see things jell and not have so much flux. As soon as you start getting comfortable with a new technology the "smart guys" decide oops, we have come up with a whole new way of doing this, and everybody starts drinking the new, new koolaid. Winforms, WPF, Silverlight, xml, json, etc, etc, etc.
Steve, how is that web service thingy coming? I know they told me we could start testing toward the end of the month (last November) and it is now Feb., but I'm not too disappointed, because they first offered to help in 2008.... John ------------------------ You crack me up Charlie. I do more work within other systems then I do in writing custom software. At best I write a web service to munge up presentation data between one system for another. But you do know it all. I spend more time in java systems and javascript in server based systems then anything else these days. Workflows are more along the line of my daily To-Do list then anything else. Pray tell what you are doing? I am interested in hearing what your decisions are for your projects? Rails, python, or PHP ? Any hand held device stuff? I hope to get something into a beta this year for handheld use. Tablet based to take into court. Leverage our Document Mgmt systems contents. I am attempting to get efiling in as well for the court system. It will be replaced by a newer purchased system but in our run of it they will flesh out the oh by the ways necessary for the court system to be purchased 2011-2012 time frame. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer CIMSgts 901.246-0159 cell [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
