15 years ago today Tom Rettig died. I'm amazed that that much time has
passed, as I remember the events and feelings they created very clearly still.
One of the things I miss most about not having DevCon to go to was the
ritual of raising a glass of The Macallan and toasting Tom. I was fortunate and
honored to be the one to give the toast many years, and I think I'll have to do
it tonight in his memory.
If you didn't know Tom, you missed a chance to know a great developer,
a warm person and a good friend.
Thanks to Ted Roche for reminding me of this date.
