A man after my own heart. These, of course, were the first six
questions I asked, too. Everything's changed, and nobody's done
nothing, and nobody remembers when it did last work, and nobody's sure
if it did work on some or all of the machines. :)

All good possibilities. As this isn't a "Priority One" issue with
them, I'll probably end up visiting in a week or two, and I'm sure
I'll be able to nail the problem once I see the machines.

I'm guessing it's a configuration issue, either running "Aero" on some
of the machines (I think their graphics are likely underpowered
onboard GeForce chips), or a bizarre combination of toolbars, add-ons
and "enhancements" these folks have installed on the machines.
