Lucky for me, I only use this laptop for emails and had all that backed up.
I did have a copy of the company source code for testing and backup, that is what I need to delete. I just ordered a USB to IDE cable for $21.47 shipped, Thanks Rick, and it should be here soon. I am going to see if I can format it and magnet erase it before I send it back. If not, I will give the company the option to buy the drive. I will have to remove this new hard drive and put the old drive back in to see if I can format it. I do have an old tape bulk eraser that I used to erase backup tapes long ago. I will give that a try also. I have an external drive enclosure that I can use for standard hard drives but it won't work for laptop drives. Maybe they make one for laptop drives so I can access the drive via USB port and format it that way.
