(been out all week - sorry if this is already solved for you)

If I understand you correctly, you want to minmimize an open Excel
window via Automation, yes?

I don't have the code handy for Excel but looking at some code I did for
Word it's as simple as:

oWord.windowstate = wdWindowStateMinimize

where wdWindowStateMinimize in the msWord.h file = 2.

So you could do it this way (again, assuming it crosses over from Word
to Excel):

oWord.windowstate = 2
