Just spent the better half of a day configuring one of these little b******ds (Linksys WRE54G-RM) and, after I confirm that the targeted computers see it ... the little @#$%% mystifies me yet again. It shows up 5x5 in the avail networks list, but when I connect to it, I have no access to my wireless network or the internet. The main wireless router still shows up with its usual two bars' strength. When I connect to it, everything returns to normal .... but I notice in it's properties, that it now has 2 access points/mac addresses. ... even if the machine can't see the new extender.
So what did I gain by this?
