so I do
apt-get source --compile grip
and I get this error
dpkg-deb: building package `gcd' in
`../gcd_2.95-2_i386.deb'.
 dpkg-genchanges -b
dpkg-genchanges: binary-only upload - not including
any source code
dpkg-buildpackage: no source included in upload

I try to
apt-get source gcd
and get this
Skipping unpack of already unpacked source in
grip-2.95

why is this? is there a GOOD apt manual somewhere? I
can't seem to find it. I'm looking for something that
explains the details of how apt works and how to build
packages from source. I like to rebuild everything to
at least i686 since I've got a tbird.

Thanks folks.

Abe
