try running "apt-cdrom add", that should add the packages on the cdrom to
your sources list, after that just use apt-get/dselect/aptitude/gnome-apt
like for any other software.
Off course this assumes the cdrom was made for use with apt, if it isn`t
apt-cdrom will complain
