I recently updated the J installation on my Android by using the
Script|Update J menu item. The process seemed to work great, however
now when I try to start J, I get the following error during startup:
   |interface error: boot
| IFARM=:'arm'-:3{.( 2!:0'uname -m')-.10{a.

This seems to have been introduced in the system7 SVN repository in Rev 267.
http://www.jsoftware.com/wsvn/system7?op=comp&compare[]=/trunk/@266&compare[]=/trunk/@267

The issue seems to be that although my Android reports IFUNIX of 1, it
doesn't recognize the command ( uname -m )

I can probably try and get my J installation booting correctly again.
But it might be easiest to just reinstall.
