Actually Brian did more than type 'r' (or hit the 'reply' button wo
keystrokes) - he edited out part of Vijays message. How this is done
affects all those attempting to archive the stream, and hence is of
more than passing concern.

The "r" for reply only works if you have turned on the "keyboard shortcuts"
in your Gmail settings.

Vijay,

I use gmail (too) and I just press the "r" key to reply.

Thanks Bob, Linda, and especially Alexander for your explanations and
thoughts. I've been learning J for a few months now and I'm only now
getting familiar with forks and trains. And oh, I also didn't know
that there was a FAQ. I second Alexander's suggestion of making it a
little more prominent.

On a side note, how do I reply to a specific message. I've never
participated in a mailing list before. Once again, thanks for great
answers.

Vijay.
