Got opengl working again without flicker and menu loss.
With my lack of knowledge it would have been a considerable effort for me to set up an environment to build my own binary. So I copied the directories gtk and addons/graphics/opengl from an older, working installation. This was enough, although at first I copied also addons/gui/gtk and addons/ide/gtk but found out that it wasn't necessary. I still have some small flaws in some pictures but I don't know how long they have been around. I know this is a simple approach but I really don't have much time. I still hope to explore OpenGL sometime in the future. Now I have just used the demos to show off J to people. Your gtk binary should be outdated. Further there are some modifications added by Norman so that you may wish to contact him in case you build your own binary.
