I think that http://jsoftware.com/pipermail/programming/2013-January/031131.html
provides the orderly approach you need here.  You just need to reverse
the order of the expressions Dan gives (and, perhaps, fill in a few
blanks?).  Anyways, you can use the same intermediate forms, going
from ic to ic2 and going from ic2 to ic.
