The jhs801.app icon just starts the JHS server task. You need to explicitly browse to a page that the JHS server serves.
After you have started the server (with the icon): 1. start a browser (or use one that already is running) 2. browse to URL localhost:65001/jijx 3. you should see the jijx page and should be able to enter J sentences You can use safari or firefox or chrome. I typically start the server when I start the machine and leave it running. Then it is always there when I want it from a browser.
