I'd forgotten that the server doesn't automatically start the browser client. 
Thanks for the reminder.

I'd been away from JHS for many months, having been using JQT instead. And 
perhaps I had "unreasonable expectations": I became accustomed to having the 
server-client Sage math system automatically open the browser client when I 
start the server.
