Bill, I think you may be right about me using the version supplied by Norman. And I do thank Norman.
I have resisted using j7 and mostly use a 32 bit version of j6 because of reasons like those given by Dan Bron in another current thread. j7 and j8 have come at a time that I have been away from j and they do work as well for me on the Mac because of the new gui and its ignoring of my standard Mac keystroke shortcuts that I like on j6. Those shortcuts are very important to me because I do not use a mouse.
