The trouble is that for the J801 release, the "engine" -- the back end that 
actually does calculations -- is the same as the engine from J701, and its name 
was not changed.

I quite agree that this is confusing. I and some others have requested that 
this be remedied.  (Just because the two engines are identical does not 
preclude their being given two different names, one for the engine included in 
the J701 release and the other for the engine included in the J801 release.)
