I'm new to J and am struggling to figure out why this works.
'';1 just looks like a noun:

'';1
┌┬─┐
││1│
└┴─┘
<;.1 i.3 3
┌─────┐
│0 1 2│
│3 4 5│
│6 7 8│
└─────┘

thanks for any help,
Ryan
