Mike, You can run JHS on the iX with an external server.
This is quite different from running an iX local server and local browser, which is not currently possible. There are no immediate plans to build a new J release for iX. It would be a lot of work and right now we can't justify the required resources. Perhaps after a few other things have settled down.
