Thanks Pascal,
I thought that the index would be useful as it would allow recovery of the
symbol from the list of all symbols.
0 s: 0 NB. cardinality of the symbol list
10
_6 s: i. 10 NB. list of symbols
` `alpha `beta `😀 `gamma `delta `one `😀 `ఠ `a
_6 s: 3 NB. retrieve the 3rd symbol
`😀
Bill also pointed out that it may be useful to know the type of the label for
the symbol, which I now see would distinguish symbols that look the same but
may be different in the type that defined them.
_6 s: 3 NB. retrieve the 3rd symbol
`😀
3!:0 each 5 s: _6 s: 3 NB. type of label is literal
┌─┐
│2│
└─┘
_6 s: 7 NB. retrieve the 3rd symbol
`😀
3!:0 each 5 s: _6 s: 7 NB. type of label is unicode4
┌──────┐
│262144│
└──────┘
Cheers, bob
