Thanks Bill,
In svg, I find spacing of unicode characters within a box difficult, but
achievable. In the text environment, I don't think proper spacing of unicode
characters is possible. I would not know where to begin with that.
In a reply to Pascal, I found a reason that the type of the label may be
important in the symbol type. It is possible to have a label of literal or
unicode4 type and appear identical but be mapped onto two separate symbols.
0 s: 0 NB. cardinality of the symbol list
10
_6 s: i. 10 NB. list of symbols
` `alpha `beta `π `gamma `delta `one `π `ΰ° `a
_6 s: 3 NB. retrieve the 3rd symbol
`π
3!:0 each 5 s: _6 s: 3 NB. type of 3rd symbol
βββ
β2β
βββ
_6 s: 7 NB. retrieve the 7th symbol
`π
3!:0 each 5 s: _6 s: 7 NB. type of 7th symbol
ββββββββ
β262144β
ββββββββ
(_6 s: 3 )-: _6 s: 7
0
(_6 s: 3 ); _6 s: 7
βββββββ¬ββββββ
β`π β`π β
βββββββ΄ββββββ
