I thought I had done all of that from jqt 805, but JVERSION in the brower is
still 804 which I had been using.

How can I update to 8o5.

Your instructions seemed towork well and should be included in jsoftware
installation information. Simple instructions are often in the forum but they
can get lost with the many other email messages. Thanks, everything is getting
so much easier to use.

As you are familiar with jqt, the first step is to use pacman there to update
the JHS addons (might as well update all addons while you are at it).

The steps Pascal gave will work, but you might want to create a desktop launch
icon.

The steps to do this are:

start J (any flavor of frontend)
   load'~addons/ide/jhs/installer.ijs'
   shortcut'jhs'

You will now have a JHS launch icon on your desktop.

After starting the JHS server, read the messages in the window and start a
browser and enter the url localhost:65001/jhs to get a JHS client session.
