There's something to be said for pacing yourself.

Maybe less than an hour, several times a week, would give you a chance
to digest what you've learned? (And maybe some repeated labs,
later...)

But, also, finding places to try out what you think you've learned is
also important for retaining the information. (Or: I tend to forget
stuff if I can't think how to apply it.)

Anyways, my experience has been that goals which are too high are good
occasionally, but learning tends to be a bit different.
