math/calculus is described only in the header of calculus.ijs. It has replacements for d. D. D: .  It is missing some exotic derivatives but probably not anything you would need.

The 9.01 release is described at https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/System/ReleaseNotes/J901 .

If you are going to let students loose on J in the classroom I recommend that you learn about the lint addon.  I wrote it to defend myself from having to debug everyone's missing ) and misspelled words.  I have some other classroom tools that we can talk about privately.

Dear all,

I am about to teach a course on numerical analysis to freshmen. I planned
on using Jandroid as a classroom calculator for demonstration purposes that
the students can use along with me.

My (not so deep) knowledge of J is based on version 8 only. As I understand
J901 is quite different from the previous version, especially in the
calculus part, which I shall need a lot. In view of this I need suggestions
about the following:

1) Should I better ask the students to use Jandroid version 8?
2) What is a good reference of the math/calculus package?
3) Where shall I get a comprehensive list of all changes in J901?

Thank you so much.
