Same experience here, rather annoying. 
Will plan an uninstall later.

I did the install. Tried JQt. Still failed. Rebooted. SYSINFO still showed "s". 
So I ran the install again and noticed it said was installing the "s"
version. I had seen this before where for some reason running the install 
'qtide' doesn't always work. That's why I asked about how to tell what version 
was actually installed.

If you need more details on what I did, pleas let me know.
