I did bite the bullet, and have now even updated to iPadOS 16.3.
Jios does still run, although there is odd behaviour. Hard to say whether how
much if any is new with vn 16, and hard to describe. The J engine is fine,
apart from closing the session if memory is short, or if some recursion limit
is encountered. The oddness occurs both in the edit window and the terminal.
In Edit, focus jumps around. As you're typing something, you lose sight of
the line. Indenting a line in a script often goes awry. Terminal is usually
ok, but I've lately found the current input & output disappearing (!), and
more often, the virtual keyboard apparently hiding current lines.
Hard to explain!
