You are right, the new grid is a wonderfull realisation of my (and
many others) dreams. I am working all the time with J5 and waiting J6
to end its beta phase. The parallel work with J5 and J6 is
impossible. How long we expect the J6 beta pahse last and is it safe
to switch to J6 on production applications?

The idea of the excersise is to reveal weak points

Then there could be a separate application, which is
also useful.
As I have learnt from some experience with the new
grid, the support for close working with nouns from
session is already there.
- you can do "grid expression" and then copy/paste
the selected cells to such CSV grid or Excel.
That's the single most attractive feature of the new grid.

- you can place a matrix on the clipboard with
"wdclipwrite clipfmt".
Speaking of "clipfmt" its definition is in like 6 different
scripts. There should be a policy of once-and-only-once.

Subject: Re: [Jprogramming] Grid API Usability
That is very good idea. So far I have been usingt Excel for this. I
would like to see also a easy access to the new grid and learn the
programming. I am not sure if I could complete all the edit features,
but I would like to support this project as much I can. I want to add
loading from J to show J arrays and also a easy acces to such grid
from J session (like right click menu "Show this noun in J grid").
