As a first step you can get J to translate it to a tacit form
automatically!!
13 : '(>./(y^2)|y*6+4*i.9999)'
[: >./ (2 ^~ ]) | (6+4*i.9999) * ]
(make sure that your Display Form is set to linear)
(Edit/Configure/Display select linear from options under "Display
Form")
