For one thing, in complex cases, the tacit translation given by 13 : is rarely the best (and is sometimes buggy). For another, if you want to learn the tacit language, you shouldn't let someone else do all the translating for you :) But, absolutely: it's wonderful as a learning tool and can bootstrap you into tacit programming.
