I put my own scripts under "~User/code/" where "~User" (note the capital
"U") is some place not under the J system tree and "~User" is interpreted by
J according to settings in the "Folders" area of the config dialog.

If I were do this over, I'd probably drop the "code" subdirectory and just
put everything directly under "~User".
It's up to you if you find further subdivisions under "~User", like
"config", to be helpful.
