I've never used Dyalog APL but I imagine that MAXWS is a global variable that sets the maximum size for a workspace? J doesn't have a workspace and just uses available RAM like most other Windows apps. My understanding is that it will use as much as is available if required. > 2. I suppose you could also use OLE to call Word methods directly as has been implemented for Excel, but I'm not aware of any examples of that. > 4.
