In the meantime, just to play wave file with controls, you
could try embedding a Media Player ActiveX into a J form.
I just tried it, and it did not load the control properly,
though it works in Excel VB.
What media/wav does is provide format and transport layers.
Playing of sound samples on hardware is a different task
and is best handled in a separate script. This is a
good exercise in native interface. For cross-platform
approach, SDL Audio or OpenAl could be used.
