When you pick your colors, just remember that about 1 in 12 people have
some color vision deficiency. I have very low red response and I have
had trouble since the IBM CGA days where you had two pallets of black
and three other colors.In each of the pallets I could not distinguish
two of the colors. Playing King's Quest was awful. I would keep
drowning in lakes that I didn't know were there.

I like the idea of using colour to provide further information on item
properties.
Would it be possible to extend the values possible in Edit|Configure|Color|Items to include things like
"extended integer", "rank 0 array", "rank 1 array"?
