Raul,

The example used by dugrid and in the class to start a browser doesn't work under Vista. I still use dde to control antique apps that don't offer any other form of automation, but I can't recommend it for general use.

I'll see about updating the DDEClientClass.

Good luck,

I performed the obvious conversions, and then tried its documented 'test' verb
which did not seem to do anything.

I then found
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/System/Beta/DUGrid?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=dmdde.ijs
which seems has had the obvious conversion performed, but and
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/System/Beta/DUGrid has what looks like
a decent example, but dugrid.ijs which requires a "browser.ijs" and
in any event the examples do not really delve into any of the areas
where person might want to use dde (for example, where you might be
editing different parts of the same document in different programs, with
all programs updating their view of that document when a change is made
in any one of them).

So... I was wondering if anyone had any good example of dde and its event
handlers being used in J?

Thanks,
