I also apologize that my suggestion are just wild guess from past experience with ie. Actually I've never installed or used jayscript. If my memory serve me, it is possible to totally disable or ask for confirmation on executable content/scripts on each invocation, I assume that's the annoyance you faced because jayscript should also based on activex/ole/com technology (please correct me if I'm wrong here). You may just set security to the lowest level to see if the annoyance will go away, and then fine tune afterward.
May be vista is different from xp in this aspect, I have nearly zero knowledge on vista.
