Also note that a weighted average of the letters A..Z
using the weights at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_alphabet#Letter_frequencies
gives an average between K and L.  (And if you eliminated
a properly chosen letter from the possibilities -- such as
V, W or Y, the weighted average would be nearer to J.)
