Well... not wanting an answer might be an issue to getting
that one solved.

However, if you try the Edit->Configure selection from J's
menu, you might be able to find a way of configuring
this option.

And I will agree that this kind of issue is a problem, but it
is hardly unique to J.  I have had analogous problems with
every computer system I have ever used.  The only way to
really understand what I could do with arbitrary computer
systems has involved reading the manuals cover to cover,
several times.

Of course sometimes an easier path was open to me
(as, in this case, the Configure option is open to you),
but that does not mean that I would automatically
notice such things.
