I tried reading a jpf file in J in Win7_64. It did not work. The Win7 Doc
says:

The graphics file formats supported by GDI+ are BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF,
Exif,
WMF, and EMF.

So, on Win7_64 at least, it appears that JPF files are not supported by platimg.

The only tool I have that will deal with JPF files is Photoshop.
