By having the pupil pick from available answers the computer can tell immediately if the answer is correct or not and the teacher would not need to read what the student wrote.
You would have several possible right or wrong answers connected to each option and always give at least one correct answer to chose from and have several wrong answers available. The database would store all trials. Not very complicated to build once you have a browser interface to the server.
