Bill, Thanks. Quick answer: they were generated by a person using Excel -- either 2003 or 2007. I think they have a number of macros. They are all supposedly the same workbook with different data, although they may be of different revisions / layouts. I'm about to give up and capture this bit of data more manually -- I have limited time to devote to this project, and I've not yet been able to design a sanitized workbook that fails. If I think of anything, I'll post it. If you or anyone else think of anything, let me know.
